2016 is in the books, and it was a banner year for The Boulevard. One could agree with all the additions to the shopping center last year, the culmination of dedicated change and improvements led to this. But how exactly did The Boulevard get to where it is now? What drove them to become something better?
By 2013, The Boulevard had fallen on hard times. Requiring a much-needed return to its original luster, Sansone Companies, a local real estate company, bought The Boulevard in 2013. Their goal: reinvigorate Las Vegas’ premier shopping hub. Since the purchase, Sansone has helped pave the way for a fresh and new spin of the old icon.
So what made the past year one to remember for The Boulevard? Well, bringing in a slew of new shops and attractions is a good start. The SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium is a notable highlight: a 31,000-square-foot interactive exhibit full of tropical fish, birds, and reptiles. The Boulevard also brought in the largest Goodwill in their company’s 40-year history. We’re talking a 28,000-square-foot store including a 17,000-square-foot sales floor. There is also the 4,900-square-foot flagship Career Connections Center that offers job seekers one-on-one career counseling, job training, workshops and computer access with other supportive services at zero cost. Throw in new restaurants, like John’s Incredible Pizza, Hatari Restaurant & Sports Bar, and Olivia’s Mexican Restaurant & Bar, plus monthly events, enhanced security, and improved property lighting, landscape, and look, and you have revitalized The Boulevard that is here to last.
Looking ahead to 2017, The Boulevard will continue to offer great opportunities for all visitors. Just this month alone, there are plenty of activities. There’s the Zumba®Fitness MasterClass at JB Dance Studio, the EXA Immigration Fair with Attorney Eric Palacios, and even a meet-and-greet and autograph signing with San Francisco 49ers great Roger Craig. Don’t miss out on taking a tour at the renovated and revitalized Boulevard. 2017 promises to be just as good as 2016, if not better.
